FVB/N mice noted a significant increase in alpha4 nicotinic receptor binding in the CA1 and CA3 area of the hippocampus and a significant increase of alpha7 nicotinic receptor binding in the frontal cortex, retrosplenial gr. cortex, motor cortex, and thalamus. Reductions in muscarinic receptors (m2-muscarinic + m1-muscarinic) were observed in several brain regions of both mice types.
